• For U6, U7 and U8 Boys & Girls
• Innovative Curriculum
• Individualized Instruction
• Positive Learning Environment
• Certified, Experienced Coaches
• Challenging Program

The DFC U8 Academy is ideal for U6 thru U8 girls and boys that want more – more soccer and also a more intense soccer experience than what other local programs provide. It is intended for those players that are prepared to be introduced to a more comprehensive soccer curriculum focused on the development of ball mastery and fundamental technical skills. In other words, the DFC Academy is for those more committed and focused young players that are ready and willing to make soccer a priority and have already developed a basic foundation of skills through mini soccer or another “early start” soccer program. The DFC U8 Academy is not intended to be, nor is it appropriate as, a player’s first soccer experience. This seasonal program (Fall and Spring, with separate registrations for each) is designed to complement and build upon DYSA’s mini soccer program and provides two additional sessions per week of outdoor training including periodic intra-squad games and friendly matches (jamborees) against academy teams from other clubs. In order to register for the DFC Dragons U8 Academy, each child must also be registered for DYSA Mini Soccer for the current season. The DFC Dragons U8 Academy features:

  • An innovative, age-appropriate player development curriculum for those young players that are prepared to receive advanced instruction
  • Expert coaching from qualified, licensed, and trained professionals that have played and coached soccer at the highest levels
  • Limited enrollment that will be capped to ensure an ideal ratio of coaches to players
  • A friendly, small-group learning environment offering individualized instruction and a player-centric approach
  • Periodic intra-squad scrimmages and matches against other club-based academy programs located on the south shore
  • An incredibly fun and truly educational soccer experience
